Today is the closing on our new house! Both exciting and terrifying. In just a few hours we'll go for the final walk through with the builders, then this afternoon, we sign our lives away. I mean we've done this before (buy a house I mean) but ...it doesn't change the exciting and terrifying part one bit. I've been packing all this week and meeting with tradespeople to get quotes for this and that, Choosing paint colours, reading in earnest about CO landscaping and even got to have a lecture/tour by an employee at a nursery where we were wandering around like a couple of New England dopes (which we are) trying to make sense of things. Tomorrow we will start painting the rooms that we are going to paint, Tuesday the painter comes to paint the parts HE is going to paint. I will continue packing and painting through the week on the days I don't work and next weekend we will move furniture and the endless collection of boxes. Once we're finally all there, I come back here to do the last big cleaning before handing the keys back to the landlady. The house is clean, please dont' misunderstand. It's all the under and behind stuff. Do YOU move your sofa everytime you clean? I sure don't.
Oh what am I saying..you guys have all been through this before. I don't need to explain it to you!!!
Two moves in less than one year is....quite enough. We will be so glad to finally be some place we can call home.
