My surgery went very well. They made 2 little "snake bites" under my knee in which they put the camera and the scissors. They cut a little ligament loose and stretched it across my knee cap and sewed it into another tendon on the other side that they tightened up as well. I was in so much pain when I woke up that they gave me a nerve block in my hip so I would not feel my leg. Well that was great, everything was wonderful for about 24 hours. Then on Wednesday night the nerve block wore off and I got all of the pain at one time....OUCH! I was taking loratab but it did nothing to ease the pain so I ended up going to the Emergency room and they gave me delauded (excuse the spelling). This stuff works really really well except that 30 minutes after I took it, I started throwing up. By that time we were on our way home so I had to wait until Thursday morning for them to call in some nausea medicine...so I puked for like 12 hours...not fun! So I finally got my nausea medicine and I am doing really well now. I can kind of put a little bit of pressure on my leg but it still hurts a lot. I am going to be in my wheelchair for 3 weeks. I even felt so good tonight that my mommy took me to the mall to do a bit of Christmas shopping. My grandparents are coming to visit tomorrow, I'm excited. Well the medicine is kicking in so I think I will go to sleep.

P.S. I learned that most stores in the mall are VERY inaccessable to handicapped people!
