(this is, i think, what the english term as "taking the mickey outta someone" - harmless banter, yes? this is precisely how to take me - harmless banter. word play is my passion - i love it when words can become ambiguous or can multiply of their own spontaneous accord... for example, when doug says "I love sammee but..." to me that is an irresistible opportunity to rephrase it as "I love sammee's butt" and then the whole thing snowballs into a great in-joke that establishes sisterhood and brotherhood among all kinds..... so THAT is how to take ME)

hey - i tried IMing you this morning (in the mornings i have access to the secure phone line - at night i'm relegated to wireless while my blogaholic sigot uses the secure phone line, and so what usually happens is the wireless allows me to open IM and so i can see who's around, but then more than 2 going it freaks out and shuts down everything... so that is my definition of "crackers")

evening IM is not reliable, is what i'm trying to say :)

Awwwww, I understand! I thought it might have been you who IMed me, but when I went to IM you back, you weren't online anymore. I say 'thought' because my away message was up, and when my away message is up on the IM programme I use, it doesn't actually let the messages pop up. It's VERY annoying!!!!

Silly sigot! Why does HE get to use the secure phone line all the time?! Tsk tsk tsk. Does sigot have a Yahoo! IM? 'Twould be lovely to talk to him, too.

i don't think doug does have IM but he might have msn capabilities... ask him (his daughter likes to do that on his machine apparently)

but yeah, you and i can *talk* through yahoo-im in mornings...!
