Monday's Update
Well hya'll.
We had a fairly good time at the dance on Saturday night.
We had an awesome time at the preparty - should have stayed there hahaha.
However, it was time after a few hours, to go to the work dance. The music was so so.
At the party I had 4 jello shooters - two packages of jello and a pint of vodka instead of the water you usually make jello with.
Yumm..very strong tho.
I felt them quickly and that was all I wanted. I never had them before.
Rick was driving TO the dance and I was driving home.
We had a ton of laughs and crazy stuff was done at the party. The dance was kinda boring in a bit of a way. I mean..Rick did not like the music much which I expected but I danced with a bunch of people on the dance floor for a bit here and there and once the shooters wore off and I sat down for a breather and to get cool, it got boring. The music wasn't that great at that point and I was waiting and waiting for a slow song to be played so I could waltz with Rick.
They NEVER played one! I did my rounds and visited people I have not seen for a while and introduced Rick to some of them. It was hard to talk cause music was loud so hard to socialize.
When we got back to his apartment, and flicked on the light, I said how it was a good time for the most part but again, I was bit sad that I did not get my slow dance with him cause it had been about 8 years since I slow danced with a man.
He flicked off the light and I said..what are you doing? He said, setting the mood. Then he grabbed me in his arms and kissed me a few times and started to sway back and forth, dancing with me, with no music on.
all together now....aweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
I welled up with tears and said..that was better than any monetary gift he could ever give me.
nuff said.
Sunday we lazed around all day at his place cause a bit of a hangover for him..and I was drug out from dancing, sore and just blah. Came home to a nice pot roast dinner Mom had on and boyyy was it ever delicious!!!!
I hope this week goes by fast cause it is another busy weekend and then that is the end of the parties until the 30th where we go to a house party - similar to the pre-party we just came from. Same people. Should be an absolute riot! When i get the pics from my friend, of us dancing and stuff, will post them.
Then it will be ny's eve. Not sure yet what we are doing.
Friday night is his work party - dinner theatre - really excited for that cause I loveeee dinner theatres. Saturday is a dinner at Steak and Stein on Young Street with work friends - about 33 of them - and sunday the lj dinner. Rick can't go to that tho - he has a family commitment for that evening :(
Friday is pay day and a bit of a bonus too.
I have next wednesday, thursday and friday off next week. I allready have things on the go for wednesday and possibly thursday tho.
phew. The busy days are helping with the season coming up. I have been too busy to 'think' much but oh I tell ya, it is in the background just waiting to pop out at me at the worse time I am sure. I must keep my head but when it does, when i have my one or two moments, I must allow them to happen and then let it go.
I can still, and always will, hear my Dad's HO HO HO down the hall of the house I grew up in.
