TravelBlog We have been living in London for almost 3 months now, the days are slowly getting colder and colder and darker and darker. Ive never really experienced a 'cold' winter before, well I did spend a winter in Vancouver once, but I never had to be out in the cold because I had a car that would transport me from A to B. I am actually really enjoying not having a car, having to rely the tube, buses and my own feet is actually something I am enjoying because London is such an interesting and such a pretty city, and even though its cold its still enjoyable to walk around. Every morning I walk to work and always walk a different route so I can discover new part of the city. I love walking down Regent Street and coming into Piccadilly Circus.
At the moment I am working as a receptionist in Piccadilly Circus. I really love working in this part of London, I think it symbolizes what London means to me because its my first memory I have of London, coming here when I was about 11 years old and standing in the middle of Piccadilly Circus watching all buses and punks go past!
We are heading back to Australia via New York and LA in February for about a month. My older sister is getting married. I am so looking forward to go back to Australia, we have been gone for about 6 months now. I miss the ocean, I cant wait to go down to Cottesloe Beach for a swim and to eat fish and chips as the sun goes down. I cant wait to see my family and friends, to have a good aussie barbeque and drink some aussie wine. (the beef and lamb is horrible in the UK, I have eaten red meat only about twice in three months, actually I didnt eat any in Asia either, so its been 6 months!).
