H1N1 is being compared to SARS. I just got an email from FAS & State that our anticipated trip to China might be postponed. Currently, though, we are to route direct (ORD-PEK) rather than fly through Hong Kong. I'm going to ask the Rh about infection risks given my compromised immune system next appointment. TB is prevalent in China. I also have to review my vaccinations - especially tetanus and hepatitus. They also recommend flu, but Doc said last year, not to because of my health. This could really suck and put a crimp in my career plan where international experience is regarded favorably.
