I don't use big box stores very often. I do buy a few things in bulk, when the price is right. Sale + coupon is my mantra.
- toilet paper (normally Scott tissue at less than 50cents/roll)
- cereal (less than $2/box - hey, it's a choice between a donut at work or a bowl of Kashi, Mueslix, or Special K. It's my coping mechanism.)
- vitamins/supplements (mostly not "bulk" but I tend to buy larger sizes at less cost)
- canned tomatoes (I use as a base for meals)
- batteries
Okay. I'm going to modify this list to include things I stock up on every three/six months or so.
- canned chicken, vegetable and beef broth
- baggies (Sister K calls it the "ziploc diet" because I prepare all my veggies and place the in bags for easy access through the week)
- aveeno products (lotion, body wash, etc)
- laundry soap
- baking soda
- apple cider vinegar
- wine
- candles
- socks
- under garments
- brita water filters
- herbal teas & decaf coffee
- spices
Wow. That's not a lot. Better? I think so.
