really, xiola... it's not appropriate how much i'm enamoured of Ryo

but actually, this post has nothing to do with the subject line. ^_~

anyway, pictures from the walkies! because merith did it and iniq did it, i went for walkies on sunday too~~~ and took piccies of course! but, like iniq, i, of course, forgot my glovies and thus almost got frostbite! haha. sunny days are deceiving in their coldness. T_T

i basically just walked around my block. haha. but i did do some tramping into a field to take "cool" pics... for lack of other visual interest. ^O^

so yeah, just as a precursor... i don't live in a very visually interesting area. ^O^;;; it's pretty "city center" but it's a suburb... i've got apartments to the east, a college to the south, a mall to the west and strip malls to the north. ^O^;;;

(clicking on any of the pics will take you to my flickr which will have a couple more pics than i post here (but they're completely out of order there... ^O^;;;))

i stepped out of my apartment and immediately snapped a shot of some tree branches for iniq and asia_2

then i turned north... this is the strip mall in which is located the bubble tea shop that my law school friends and i used to frequent study in.

at the end of the block, i turned right (east) and walked down the street...

somehow i feel that this is really indicative of Richmond, BC. a little old dude in a british racing green...sedan, an empty field, a random decrepit building, next to a bizarre example of architectural design... with the mountains in the background.

the next two are of the street and the low rise apartment complex next to my complex. i have this strange obsession with linear patterns. ^O^

at the end of this block, i crossed the street before turning right because i wanted to take pics of the giant (1 city block square) field (i believe it's owned by the city of richmond? but it might be first nations land as well... anyway, they're thinking of developing it now... but it's been empty for aaaages and it provides nesting grounds for a lot of bird so the environmentalists are fighting it.

(i have a giant wallpaper size of this next pic available on my flickr... because i'm conceited like that... ^O^;;;)

just so you all can appreciate what a gorgeous day it was (Mount Baker in the background is in the US. ^_~)

and i started to run out of sidewalk... (the marsh is created by the winter rainfall)

but i wanted to see the duckies!

i was trying to frame this so it would seem like a bus stop in the middle of nowhere... haha... but anyway, it serves to show how close to the mountains we are.

so then i hit the end (actually, not really, i live on a short block so the road to wrap around "my" block hits this field in the middle). nevertheless, it was time to start heading home... haha... was freezing. so, heading west again, here are some pics of the college next to my apartment. (my living room window directly overlooks the parking lot for this college)

this is a tree technically from the mall parking lot which is on the next block following the college (west):

and then i raaaaaaaaaan home:

photography, *sparklies*, life
