amigurumi?
had a rather nice, quiet weekend home alone. but decided that, rather than do anything job-related, as i should have, i'd try to crochet a chihuahua!
i haven't crocheted in YEARS but this wasn't so hard! ^O^;;; the most difficult thing was working in rounds as it meant i really had to keep count of my stitches. ^O^;;; took a lot of concentration, but it was quite fun.
i modified this pattern to match my friend's dog (which is actually a pomeranian / jack russell mix, but i think the chihuahua pattern fit. quite nicely. ^O^;;;)
the end result is a little puppy that's abou the size of my fist.
(oh yes, the pattern has him standing but i couldn't figure out how to attach the head to the body that way... and therefore my guy is sitting. ^O^;;;)
(ooh! i improvised the curly tail, is it cute? ^O^;;;;;;;;)
