... that I make this public post. Through out the past couple of months, I have heard a few of misconceptions or, rather, misinformation about Islam that people have adhered to. I would like to clear some of them so that those who choose to browse through this journal will know a little more than they did before.
I guess with the Jesus perspective, where can I start, lol. Again, my perspective and known knowledge(still learning more) if we place hope on humanity(humans/people) it just leads to sucky-ness. As I read and study the Bible, I see awesome people who God chose, but they had their issues( Noah a drunk, David adulterer/murder, Solomon just had to many women, Apostle Peter was hot headed, etc.) I believe, as follower of Jesus' Teachings, that he is the hope of Humanity, the Bar Enash, the best of humanity. The virgin birth is just a part of the story, if not just a few % of it. The concept of God being one and only one, and also to be a trinity is kind weird,( call me if I confused you there). I guess being that it is Christmas time that this maybe appropriate. This year, I have a better understand of what Christmas is about. That the everlasting God, the Alpha y Omega, once he is born begins to die. Also that the Almighty God, has come through a form of a defenseless and vulnerable baby. Where he was born in some jacked up barn and grew up in the ghetto in west Asia. Which leads the the third, he lived in poverty, he came down from the glory of Heaven to be in poverty, to be poor. It's so mind boggling, but I am just like in awe of it. That the I am, came to be humanities hope, not just from sin, but to start a revolution that transform peoples lives, especially among the poor. Not only for salvation, but more importantly what Father's heart desire, to help the needed.
"En el principio ya existia el verbo, y el verbo estaba con Dios, y el verbo era Dios. El estaba con Dios en el principio.( John 1:1-2)
I've been dipping in and out the Old Testament, I find myself alot in Isaiah. Here are 2 verses that I just find it explaining more about Jesus' mission, I go back to it and find more and more(the whole Bible too) ;0)
Isaiah 52:13-15
»See, my servant will act wisely;
he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.
Just as there were many who were appalled at him -
his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man
and his form marred beyond human likeness -
so will he sprinkle many nations,
and kings will shut their mouths because of him.
For what they were not told, they will see,
and what they have not heard, they will understand.«
Isaiah 53:3-5
»He was despised and rejected by men,
a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering.
Like one from whom men hide their faces
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Surely he took up our infirmities
and surely carried our sorrows,
yet we considered him stricken by God,
smitten by him, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
[he was] crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed.«
Following the Teachings of Jesus is hard, his Purposes... the purposes God needs to be done through us. Jesus lead by example and we must follow. The desire to know what the Father wants is just body slams you, in a good way, lol. I find myself alot in many verses dealing with the poor. I can write more, but I think I am not being courteous to your readers for writing alot. Forgive me, if there are any like jumping ideas and sentences;also bad grammar. I just had to write before I forget. Thanks for the post. It's good to share.

As I read and study the Bible, I see awesome people who God chose, but they had their issues( Noah a drunk, David adulterer/murder, Solomon just had to many women, Apostle Peter was hot headed, etc.)
In your previous passages, this is where Christianity and Islam differs as well. To explain further, in the Qur'an, all chosen people by God are perfect. Why? Because God chose them to be the leaders, He protected them from all evil doings, and so they became great Prophets, with their legacy known. There are no imperfections in them, for they did not commit sin. They received revelations from God just like every prophet, and did not do anything against Him for they only did what God asked of them. And so perhaps this view will provide you with a little understanding of how and why Islam views Jesus as a prophet. Because he was perfect, just like every Prophet, because Prophets are the chosen people of God. God created them just for His purpose, and they carried it out, led men away from sinful things, taught them to worship only one God.
One should not assume that they are angles or something, because they are human beings, all the prophets. God says it clearly in the Qur'an many times. But all their Knowledge comes from God, thus making them perfect human beings that carry out the Will of God with the abilities God has given them, for He has created all things.
For further reading, I would like to point you towards Surah Yusuf, about Prophet Joseph, in the Qur'an. It is one my favourites simply because it shows the weakness of us, and the perfection of the Prophets. Prophet Joseph (pbuh) was faced with such trials, but he always did what God asked of him and showed his patience. That is the view of Prophets in Islam.
All this to help you better understand why we differ so greatly when it comes to Jesus, for we see him as perfect as every prophet, and he, with all of them, is surely an example to which we adhere to and try to reciprocate in all our lives.
I personally belief that if the Prophets are so weak, that they are so succumbed in sinful acts, than it points towards God's ultimate imperfection. God is the Creator of all universe, so surely He can create us for one purpose, and surely He can make us carry out His Will if that is His Plan. He created the sun for the purpose, and the sun definitely fulfills that purpose. He crated the circle of life, of one animal eating another, getting nutrition from another, and that cycle will forever remain. And so he crafted certain people for the sole purpose of spreading the message, for we humans we astray, and we need guidance. He provided guidance to the people in the form of themselves, so that they will better understand, by creating human beings of His desire to carry out His Plan. And so we have numerous examples of flawless characters that we can look upto. That is my view. I hope you will read Surah Yusuf to better understand the views of Muslims when it comes to the perfection of the Prophets and the absolute power of Almighty God.
