What do interglactic explorers and mounties have in common?
As of right now I am all caught up with Stargate as it has been shown here in Australia. Me and my mum got through the whole first 8 seasons in about 3 months or so. I'm really quite proud. At this rate we might just manage to get through season 9 (along with with season 2 of Atlantis) before July 14 :D
It was quite strange watching the last few episodes of season 8 again, because those were the first few episodes I ever watched, when they were on tv here back about the start of last year. Made me realise just how much of those episodes must have completely gone over my head back then. I'm kinda surprised I kept watching.
A slightly odd side effect of all this Stargate watching is that it has been making me feel all nostalgic about Canada. At least that's what I'm blaming my newest obsession on. What other possible reason could there be for why I would start randomly watching Due South? It's not like I need another tv show to obsess about. I'm getting quite annoyed now that I can't get any DVDs until August 17 and then it'll probably be months until they bring out Season 2. I looked into ordering in the Canadian or US DVDs but they both seem so dodgy. Especially the US ones. I mean, when the DVD manufacturers can't even work out that a particular actor isn't actually in that season it just makes me wonder what else is wrong with the set. Oh well, patience is a virtue I suppose.
I can't be only person who's noticed that Fraser is Carrot from the Discworld books, can I? I mean, exactly, right down to the pet wolf. Apart from the fact that he's Canadian rather than Dwarfish, of course. I think I'm going to need an icon to express this.
I friends locked a whole bunch of posts a little while back. I can't stand friends locked journals, but I started getting a bit panicky that some people I know in real life might manage to find it and that idea freaks me out a little bit. I'll probably go back and make some of the posts public again once I've looked through them and made sure I haven't said anything too embarrassing. But most of what I post from now on will probably stay public.
