and so it began, the night air was filled with low riding clouds, my house was silent, save the sounds of the niehgbors sitting down to their family dinners filtering through the windows. i set out in hopes of finding my own dinner on the open road. little did i know that not only would i not get dinner, but a bigger adventure awaited me.
i was driving with no real destination in mind. just hoping to stumble upon something interesting to occupy my time. as i was driving down 88, it dawned on me that i would soon be passing Exotix. there was no opposing traffic, so i swung around and into the parking lot, and saw brian, the piercer leaning against his white beetle, on his phone. i threw my cigarette to the ground, and headed into the store. Jenn waved hi to me, and returned to her customers. The parents were taking their daughter to get some obtuse piercing, im not sure what though, i didnt really care. when the girl went in, i was talking to the new counter girl about what i should get done. i didn't have a set plan, but i knew that i'd have to get something done on my ear, because of work and my dad. finally, i just said, 'i guess i'll get my conch done.' so i filled out my paperwork, as the girl(i wish i knew her name) complimented my licence photo..which is terrible by the way. she was really nice and friendly.
i went back into the room, and brian and i made smalltalk while he got everything ready. he had me face the wall so he could see the ear he was piercing. he told me that it wasnt going to hurt, because he has a better way of piercing it than the regular way. he marked it, and said it was going to look really nice with my industrial bar, the next thing i knew he was pushing the needle through. my instinct was to breathe in as he pushed it through and then exhale when it came through the other side..which is what they tell you to do anyway. then he put in the barbel, which didn't hurt at all, but he tightened it, and that tugged on my barbel a bit..so that hurt pretty bad, but i was done, and he was right. it looks fantastic with my industrial.
brian explained the cleaning procedures, and told me to come back if anything happened, such as infections where i might want to take it out..but since my industrial healed so well,i'm not worried. he gave me a lollipop and a cup of water, since i was a bit shaky from all the adrenaline, then i went out and paid, and i was on my way home.
compltely fucking random.
EDIT: took a crappy webcam shot.
