did I mention that bet/promise/threat/deal I made with myself not to get a haircut until I finish a paper from last quarter? well, I think I made that deal before I understood how much work I would be doing this quarter (2 classes, 1 audit, 9 hours of work at the library, 1 discussion class to lead and 6 papers to grade and comment on a week). So, the paper is going much slower than I expected and my hair getting much longer. Had I a digital camera, I would put up a picture of what my hair looks like now, but I don't so let's just say it's something like an emo indie rocker do.
so, the only thing to do is to add more activities. to that end, I was thinking that some sort of collective fiction-writing group online might be fun. sort of like what I was doing with the Agent Raconteur entries -- I'm imagining a site where everyone posted once a month at least, with pieces short enough to be read in a sitting (a short sitting at that). Of course, not just for finished pieces, but for experiments that one wanted others' opinions on. Anyway, who all would be interested in that? and where do you think that should be? (That is, should that be a livejournal group or somewhere different, like blogspot?)
