ok so i had this all typed out but LJ was in read only mode....bastards..... so here is the short story
i got a project that i was VERY excited about. a partner and i had to choose a national park and sell a trip there pretty much. cost was no issue and we just had to find out lots of fun things. ok so coleen and i decided Hawaii Volcanoes would be fun. expecting a bit of history of the islands, possibly some scuba stuff, hiking and seeing what volcanoes did many many years ago..... noooooo
i have to sell a trip to hell. i have to get people to go somewhere that has volcanic fume problems, steam explosions, methane gas explosions and collapsing cliffs. the gate way to hell. i read about recent deaths in the park "In May 1998, one person went beyond warning signs, entered a closed bench, and disappeared in the fume cloud. He is still missing and is presumed dead. "
