I've been so busy lately that I haven't had the time to write. Mostly with work. I haven't eritten since my job as a temporary sales lead turned into a permanent promotion as a full blown customer sales lead aka a part time manager. It means more hours and a pretty decent pay raise. Yay! I worked 40 hours this past week because the store manager was on vacation, and I'll have another decent week in another week or two as the co-manager goes on vacation then. There's only one problem I'm having, and it's with one of the associates. She apparently doesn't see myself or the other customer sales lead as part of the management team. It's been a real handful. She used to be so nice to me too. I guess it shows that you really don't know people like you think you do. Your thinking about them has to change accordingly. It's sad, but it's the way it has to be. I hope to get things straightened out, but it may not be a possibility.
Speaking of work, I need to be up in about 3 hours in order to attend a meeting for all the customer sales leads in the area. It's gonna be a long day. The other CSL, Jennifer, and I have no idea where we're going. We know where it is (Perimeter Mall), but it's anyone's guess how exactly we get there. I'm so not excited about spending my entire day listening to the Bath and Body Works talk to us about this that and the other in a language I'm still getting used to. It's supposed to last until 6pm. Hopefully they'll feed us or let us get food sometime during the day.
My birthday is Wednesday. I'll be 24. Wow, I feel old. Ha. I'll just be glad 23 will be over. It was even harder than 22 was, and that's saying quite a bit. Wednesday will be the first time I've seen my parents since the night my dad got out of the hospital. Some of you know what that night turned into and what it did to my relationship with my dad especially. I'm kinda nervous about it to be honest, but I need my parents in my life even with all the issues. Both of them nearly died in my 23rd year. I don't know how much longer they'll be around so I need to have them around as much as I can.
Brian gave me my birthday present early. He finally got me something that was not practical. It only took me nearly 2 years of begging to get it to happen. I'm still surprised by it. He got me a beautiful necklace with a pendant made of white emeralds in the shape of a star. He actually did a wonderful job of picking it out.
I should head to bed now. Night all.
