Work and Other Things
Yay! The "Sex and the City" Movie is finally filming and is supposed to be out next spring. Anyone want to go and see it with me? Cause I know Brian sure won't.
I've been playing World of Warcraft way too much, let me tell you. The insanity has got to stop! But you'll have to pry the keyboard from my cold, dead fingers first! :) This shows what you'll do when you have no job and are mega depressed. That will hopefully change soon though.
Right now, I have two jobs. Haven't started working at either one yet, but hopefully they will work me. Both only temporary holiday hires, but it gives me a three month cushion to find something with better money and more permanent. Thank God. I was really starting to get worried there. Oh, the two jobs are within walking distance of one another. Another good point until I save up enough for a car.
The first one is at Bath and Body Works in Conyers. I have an orientation there on Friday from 2pm-8pm which I will be getting paid for. Yay! Money! That means I can get my haircut for the first time in 4 months. Also means I'll be working with Red and Kathleen. It's gonna be a mini high school reunion. That's trippy. Should be fun though cause I love their products. Thanks to Red for telling me they were hiring.
The next one is just got at 1:30 this morning. It's the that has me the most worried because of who secured the job for me. Brian got me a job at the Conyers Gamestop. He couldn't get me one at the mall due to the fact of him working there but pulled strings with his old boss who loves him to get me in there. I'm excited about it, but everyone knows who I am (ie Brian's girlfriend) so I have to work doubly hard to prove myself. I'm going to fill out the hiring packet and turn it back in by the end of the week. Hopefully I'll start getting hours at one or both jobs shortly.
I'm not gonna stop looking for that ever elusive "grown up job" with benefits though. That's my goal. Hopefully I'll find it within the next three months, or I'm screwed again.
In other news, my cell is back up so please feel free to give me a call. I miss all of you.
