Sam frowned at the symbols on the door and wished for Daniel. The alien scratchings might have meant more to him and, more open-minded, he was better at this sort of thing.
Okay. Assuming these were the four elements: all existing things contained one or more of these basic energies. But she had no context, no. . .
Mositure. The door was damp. Sam touched a finger to it's surface only to recoil from the heat.
Heat? Fire was hot.
But dry!
Earth was cold and dry. Water, cold and wet.
Sam reached out and pressed 'Air'.
The door slid open and Sam got her wish.
"Daniel!"
