G is for Grief
He should have felt bad it was over but he didn't. Kerry was a wonderfully sweet person but she lacked something. What, he couldn't really say. Fortunately for him, he knew better than to let anyone know he was fine about the breakup. Especially at work when he'd have to see her. Better to feign grief than be thought heartless and cruel, it was bad for base moral.
He kept to himself a bit more than usual and actually got his paperwork done. When he couldn’t take the solitude any longer he’d leave his office head towards Col. Carter’s Lab.

H is for Habit
Sam looked up at the clock and smiled. Any minute now he would wander into her lab and quietly take up residence in the chair he'd moved into a corner of her lab. She had to admit she didn't mind this new habit of his to watch her work. It reminded her of the good old days when they were a team. Sam knew the only reason he came to her lab was because unlike Daniel or Teal'c, she didn't bore him with what she was working on or ask why he wasn't working and she didn't mind at all.

I is for Impulsive
Jack sat behind Col. Carter watching her work for the umpteenth time. He enjoyed the peace he found here, not to mention the view. Smiling as he silently mused to himself, she really was amazingly beautiful... er, smart! He chastised himself for slipping. That was it, smart... no brilliant.
Lost in thought Jack quietly murmured, “Brilliant, in more ways than one.”
“Sir?” Sam turned towards him.
“Did I say that out loud?”
Sam nodded. “Sir? Did you mean what you just said?”
He didn’t answer, he couldn’t, but his expression confirmed the truth.
Impulsively she leaned over and kissed him.
