Flooding
I'm more than a little bit freaked by the flooding I've seen today-- Oak Park got eight inches of rain last night. There's been no direct problems for us-- the nearest major street is named Ridgeland for a reason. But the nearby expressway was closed for most of the day, and there has been massive flooding and street closures in the nearby suburbs. I attempted to help out with a small situation at work, only to find two feet of water on every neighboring street. Apparently it filled the basement at work, and probably reached the floorboards of all the fleet vehicles, including my work car. Luckily, it seems like everyone around here us staying safe.
