"Y'know, it wasn't until..."

Those were the last words I wrote on my desktop before it stopped on Wednesday morning and threw the Blue Screen of Death with an error message on the screen. It refused to restart.

I gave it out to be repaired later that day and used my laptop instead.

I was told on Thursday that the memory had burned out and that I would need new memory. I gave the go-ahead over the 'phone.

I called this (Saturday) morning to find out if the memory had been installed. The technicians did not know that I had given the go-ahead.

This afternoon, at a few minutes to two, I got a call to say that it was ready. I took a cab to the shop, asked the cab driver to return in fifteen minutes, got the computer, and went back home. About one minute after I got inside, the downpour started. Thank you. Lord! :)

I reassembled the computer, copied the pictures I was working on from the laptop onto my jump drive, repacked the laptop, and started the computer.

When I opened Firefox, I was asked if I wanted to restore the previous session that was improperly closed, so I did so.

The program had even saved the start of my reply! It is much appreciated, even though I actually replied later on, from work... ^^;
