I wanna be on a cruise!! (yeah I know I'm spoiled....ur just jealous)
I found this old email that I sent someone after laura and I went on our cruise this past year and I had saved it so I could go back and read it and remember and I did that today and it just made me wanna to be in Cozumel with Hank and Raul again! hahaha Good times Laura good times....
The cruise was amazing! We had awesome weather the whole week and just a good, relaxing time. Everywhere we went they kept saying how we had literally JUST missed the rain from the day before. What a relief!
The first day was just a day at sea. We spent most of the day out laying in the sun and then that night was a formal dinner. They have two formal nights for the week and you have to get all dressed up for dinner. It's cute. Then everynight after dinner at 9pm they always have some sort of entertainment show. Throughout the week we had a comedian, singers/dancers, a vantriliquist (no idea how to spell that), an ice skating show, and Bowzer from Sha Na Na...? You probably know who he is...I didn't haha.
Our first stop was Belize City....which was pretty yucky actually. We didn't have a tour planned for this day so we did like a taxi tour thing they had there. The whole area was mostly poor and run done. It made us all really grateful for what we have.
The next day we went to Costa Maya. They just had a bunch of souvenir, tourists shops and just wanted you to come in and look and buy things. haha Laura and I looked a little bit but then decided to get back on the ship and just lay by the pool.
Thursday was Cozumel and it was everyone's favorite place I think. We actually had a tour for this day. A bunch of us piled into jeeps and caravaned to a cave. Inside the cave we got to snorkel and look at stalagmites and stalagtites under the water. It was pretty cool. After that we drove to a beach called Playa del Carmen. It was SO beautiful there. Laura and I actually rode in the jeep with the tour guide Raul! haha We had great fun with that!
Friday was Grand Cayman Islands. They were still rebuilding from their hurricane a couple months ago so that was kinda sad. But it was pretty there. We went on this boat that you could go down in and see coral reefs. The coral reef we looked at wasn't that great so i sorta took a nap and slept through most of it!! :)!
Anyways, the whole week was filled of sun, laughter, and just plain relaxtion. Laura and I got to gamble in the casino and go to the dance club since we are 18 now. We danced most of our nights away until the wee hours of the morning. We met so many great people from all of the united states and the world. It's hard being back home in the snow and cold....:(
