FINALLY got a mammogram today. It's been about 4 years, if not more, since I got my last one in Chicago. I had been trying off and on to find a source for free mammogram's for low income women in California, but kept getting the run around. But my Union, SAG-AFTRA, had a wellness fair for women today, and I was able to get an appointment.
Before they do the boob-squeeze, they do a manual exam. There was a horrible moment there where the nurse said "I think you have a lump." Then she felt around some more and reversed her opinion. Then my heart started beating again. Yeah.
I'm trying to get everything together for my shoot on Sunday. This is project #2 of 3 for my Cinema 2 class - the chase film. And of course, because it is an outdoor shoot, the forecast is for rain on Sunday. It rains 10 days the entire year in SoCal, so of course one of them has to be on the day I schedule an outdoor shoot. *facepalm*
Well, as long as it's not actively pouring, it will actually work to my advantage, because now I don't have to worry where the sun is going to be, and having to match the angle of the sun in the sky and the shadows it casts from shot to shot.
I'm pretty overwhelmed this week, with a rehearsal yesterday, and having to turn in my storyboard today for class, and pre-production for shooting on Sunday. My brain is so full, I'm at that point where nothing is sticking. I was trying to read while waiting for my mammogram today, and I realized that I was just looking at the page - even though my eyes were tracing the lines, my brain wasn't actually absorbing anything. I think I'm full. :)
