For both A and B, I would love to hear you ramble about Sailor Moon.

For a question for the second one, which group of senshi do you prefer, inner or outer and why?

Sailor Moon is always great to ramble about! I haven't watched the entire series in years, but I'll take a crack at it. XD And I've never seen the live-action show, so this is strictly anime vs. manga.

a. I still ship Mamoru/Usagi; I've been a fan of them since I was nine years old. I think it's because the whole aspect that their love transcended through time really touches me; it really is a classic fairy tale and I'm a total sucker for those. Although, I prefer their canon relationship in the manga, because anime!Mamoru is such a jerk. A lot of things that Mamoru does for their relationship - such as breaking up with Usagi without even assuring her what the real reason was - really annoys me. Like, I was a kid and I still screamed at the TV every time he made her cry in Season R.

Then there's femslash. For the manga, I like Rei/Minako, and it's all thanks to this ship manifesto and the Exam Battle extra story where Minako sneaks into Rei's school to figure out who Rei really is. Oh, and then there's this fanmix. For the anime, ( ... )

My problem with Usagi/Mamoru in the anime, (aside from the stupid break up thing, I mean who would send a messae to their past self telling them to break up with your future wife? What a douche) was that I felt like the anime gave us no reason for them to be together other then the fact that he was Tuxedo Mask and she was the princess. Like they seemed to have no reason to be together other then that, whereas in the manga there seemed to be something between their present lives. I am not a fan of destined love, and the anime played too heavily into that (the manga did too a bit, but there was at least established connection prior to the reveal, I also liked the identity reveal in the manga more ( ... )

I always liked the pairing, but yeah, you're right about their automatic relationship. The pacing was fine with me when I was nine years old, but uh, yeah. It isn't simply "well we were together in a past life LET'S GET BACK TOGETHER RIGHT NOW". I do like to think that they had underlying feelings for one another before they discovered they were from another past life and maybe that stirred everything up, and I did say that their love could transcend through time is touching, but based on what you're telling me, PGSM did something with them that I always wanted to see. I wanted to see the awkward transition from merely being acquaintances to something more after realizing they had a past life together.

(Stemming off of the same problems with PGSM but not really, what I like about my other favorite pairings with Usagi is the major conflict of her past/future relationship with Mamoru: should she, could she, do they have to, etc. Not enough fics explore this at all.)

One of my favorite parts of their relationship is where Usagi ( ... )

Um...hi! Hee, this is so random, but I noticed you using one of my Princess Tutu icons somewhere (my icon community is in in_darkhalls), and so I peeked at your journal, and it seems like we have a lot of interests in common! Teen Titans, Avatar, Princess Tutu, and Hey Arnold, to name a few. <3 So I was wondering if you might like to be friends? It's totally fine if you'd prefer me not to add you, but I just thought you seemed pretty cool! Sorry for commenting so randomly on your latest post! XD;

(also, I noticed on your profile that you used to be pwnster, and that name sounds so very familiar to me -- did you used to be a member of tt_15_fics, by chance? That used to be my community, and I feel like I saw you on there sometimes. My apologies if I'm mistaken!)

Hi! It's no problem. I'd love to friend you. <3 I took .. a bunch of your icons, haha. I'm really sorry about not commenting and letting you know. I'm a horrible fandom lurker and I should be ashamed of myself. D:

Oh man, you're not mistaken. I remember that you ran it! I was at tt_15_fics for awhile. I posted a few (crack) fics there back when I was active in the Teen Titans fandom, until it got insane. I haven't been there for ... oh God, for years. XD;

Cool! And don't worry about the commenting! It just makes me happy to see people using them. <3

I thought that name seemed familiar! Yeah, that community's dead now -- all that drama all those years ago killed it, pretty much. Three other people have tried to run it after I stopped, but it's pretty much gone now. XD;

Hee, okay. XD; As long as I'm not coming off as a creepy lurker - which I'm usually afraid of when I forget to comment.

Really? :/ That sucks. I remember the drama, but I didn't know it finally died. I just know that the last time I looked, a lot of people from one RPG were participating in the challenge once in awhile, but it was still pretty dead. Oh well, it was fun!

a. I think with Teen Titans, I'm very guilty of crack shipping. I don't strictly stick with the canon, because the different pairings you can come up with are endless (and the fandom killed my interest in the canon pairings, such as Robin/Starfire). Like, Thunder/Starfire was an idea a friend and I came up with for an RPG. See-More/Terra was another one, then it was followed with Red Star/Starfire. Then there's Cyborg/Starfire, although that's more of an underappreciated fanon pairing than crack. I just ... I go nuts.

I say, if I do go with the canon, I enjoy Robin/Starfire enough, but I don't love them, because the assumption that Robin is this prize to be won in the fandom is stupid. I hated the R/S vs. R/R fight, I hated the way Starfire was bashed and how Raven was glorified (she's cool, but c'mon now), and all of it just killed my interest in it. But I adore Beast Boy/Terra like mad. Their story is so sad. As for the minors, I cannot STAND Kid Flash/Jinx. I think her story of turning into a hero would've been more appropriate ( ... )

........:D See-More? Him in any pairing. OH MY LORD! XD

You like shipping Star with everyone :D. SADLY, I CAN'T DO THAT

I used to roleplay See-More, so yes, it is possible! He is such a dork, in and out of the show. My version likes ladies, but he's not exactly suave; he's just really, really geeky about it.

Haha, yeah, I've noticed that. XD; I do like shipping Star with everyone. She can go with just about anybody. Except I'm really not big on Robin/Starfire as I used to be. Now I'm just "meh" on the whole pairing.
