I WILL GLADLY DO ALISTAIR/RIZ.
1. Well, canon-wise, Alistair tops, and it makes sense since he's a human and she's an elf. The differences are subtle, but they're there, so they're mindful about it. (Although I can see Riz being the sort of bottom that SECRETLY CONTROLS everything that happens, being the persuasive/cunning person she's always been. Alistair has no idea and remains blissfully ignorant for awhile. Poor sap.)
2. Alistair. Wait, no. Riz! Riz has red hair. Wait, no, Alistair is obsessed with his hair, of course it's the prettiest. I DON'T KNOW. Girls, you're both pretty. (They're equally pretty for different reasons: Alistair's got plain ol' blonde hair but he keeps it nice and cut, whereas Riz's hair color looks nice but her hair might be jagged since she cuts hers with her dagger and doesn't really care how it comes out. WHICH HORRIFIES ALISTAIR, and he eventually convinces her to let him do it.)
3. I can see them being the sort of sentimental parents that would name their kids after people they've loved and lost in their lives. If they had a son, Alistair and Riz would both agree to name him after Duncan. If they had a girl, Alistair would be the first to suggest Riz's mother's name, Adria. Riz would be hesitant at first, but ultimately agree to do so.
4. ALISTAIR, ALWAYS, since I always picture him as the vocal one anyway. Riz prefers to physically express herself, if you know what I mean. |3
5. Since I'm bitter about the lack of Warden Alistair's appearance in Awakening, this is my ideal situation for them: in the middle of Riz getting the Keep in order and trying to figure out what the talking darkspawn are up to, Alistair arrives and is all COMMANDER, MY DEAR, I AM HOME NOW, AND I AM LOOKING VERY HANDSOME TODAY. And Riz is all CANCEL MY APPOINTMENTS TODAY, I HAVE BUSINESS TO ATTEND TO WITH THE SENIOR WARDEN. Then they retire to her (well, their) quarters and spend a day and a half in bed. Sometimes they sex, sometimes they just talk, sometimes Riz surprises Alistair with THE FINEST CHEESE FROM AMARATHINE. Who knows?
... Wow, I think a lot about Alistair/Riz but never actually write them. DOES IT SHOW?
