I beat Final Fantasy IX tonight...er, today, and before I go to bed and stop being a major dork (okay, that'll never change, who am I kidding), have some run-on sentences and thoughts.
+ It's funny, because I've had this game so much on my mind that I had a dream about one of the characters the day before. Guess who it was? Kuja. :| I woke up with a "YOU'RE STAYING OUT MY DREAMS BECAUSE I AM KILLING YOU TODAY" sort of determination.
+ I had the magnificent team of Zidane, Vivi, Eiko, and Freya. I really wanted Steiner instead of Freya, but he needed auto-regan and the armor that was supposed to give him that ... got destroyed in Shimmering Island, which Kuja destroyed. Bastard. :| So, yeah, Steiner was out, and Freya was in. That was okay, though. Freya's Jump ability saved my life once or twice.
+ You know, I heard a lot of people complaining about how hard Trance Kuja and Necron were, but they weren't that bad? I mean, Necron was a little challenging--he stopped two of my characters in the beginning and end of the fight--but otherwise it was easier than I expected. Zidane was 75 and Freya was 77, Eiko and Vivi were 61-62ish. Maybe I leveled them the right way? Oh and it helps that all four of them had auto-regan, auto-life and auto-potion on. XD
+ AMARANT GAVE HIS POWERS TO FREYA WHEN I PICKED MY FINAL TEAM. AHH, YET ANOTHER WEIRD SHIP THAT I PROBABLY SHOULDN'T LIKE, BUT THERE YOU GO. <3
+ lulz, I knew Zidane was going to just barely miss Kuja and fall after he went Disney!Tarzan on the vines. I laughed, very hard and very inappropriately.
+ Hmm, I mourn the days when I used to fangirl Kuja, because I still don't really love him as much as I used to. I still like him, but I wish I knew what drew me to him when I was younger that got lost when I was older. At least I came to grips with his flamboyant sexuality, though. I feel sorry for those who still believe he's heterosexual. Shut up.
+ Vivi. Just... Vivi. :( I almost cried.
+ Steiner/Beatrix are so awesome. (Y'know, when Beatrix isn't annoying the shit out of me as a boss three times, she's actually one of my favorite Final Fantasy female characters. It looked like she basically ran Alexandria while Dagger and Steiner were busy with Zidane's group and fighting Kuja. That's kind of really cool.)
+ Garnet/Dagger embracing Zidane at the end gets me every time. OH, HAPPY ENDING. <3
+ BITCH, GIVE ME MY ALTERNATE ENDING. Oh, it was just an extra line added in the play. "No cloud nor squall can hinder me." I noticed it in the ending! I just didn't think that was my alternate ending. Hahah, I am such a shameless fan that now I feel pathetic for noticing something like that.
I am taking a nap, then I am possibly taking another one. Away I go!
