Topless Tuesday-With a Twist
"I’ve been thinking for a while about Topless Tuesday-where as a feminist do I stand on it? While I’m totally against the whole “omg guyzz look I got my tits out, follow me!” thing, I think that you know…if we want to get our tits out, nobody can really stop us…and we shouldn’t be called “sluts” for doing so. Go on Chatroulette, every other cam on there is a guy jerking off-are they degraded half as much as a girl is for wearing a short skirt or a low cut top?
I was first called a slut age 11. I liked a boy and I made the first move, when a girl is apparently never supposed to do that. I wore short skirts because I liked them and I had my own sense of style. This made me a slut in the other girls eyes. I had no clue what it meant and it hurt when I found out.
We should be able to do what we want, wear what we want, say what we want without being judged. It’s not “asking for it” to do something unorthodox because it is our right and if someone is going to sexually harass a woman for it, it’s their problem and not the woman’s.
Society teaches women how not to be raped rather than men not to rape.

So here are my basoomas. If this makes me a slut, then I’m a slut and fucking proud." --

I sometimes have trouble articulating my emotions in words that form actual sentences. Sometimes I'll be reading other peoples blogs and it will pop out to me and I will think YES! that is exactly how I feel, but its usually me talking to myself because there's no-one actually here. That's why I have decided to be a more active journal. The only reason I never post is because sometimes I don't have a way to write beyond a pen and paper. (or in my case a computer) I hope this changes. Look forward to hearing from me (hopefully) more.
