I landed a HUGE copywriting job this week...the money I'll make in the short-term should support me into the spring (so I can keep building this business without having to take a "real" job). It also looks like this initial phase is morphing into several more phases over the course of the next year, so I could be looking at really nice steady income working out of my home. All I have to do now is write it all up...gulp.
To celebrate, I broke my fasting period on buying new music. I've managed my money well over the summer, but that meant cutting back on one of my chief vices...buying cds. I went to Manifest and spent a few hours going through the used CD bins. Here's what I got:
The Jam - Greatest Hits
The English Beat - Special Beat Service
Jimmy Cliff - We Are All One
And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead - Source Tags & Codes
Black Sabbath - Paranoid
David Bowie - The Man Who Sold the World
Echobelly - Great Things
The Clash - The Clash
Toots & the Maytals - Best of...
The Skatalites - Balls of Fire
Chet Baker - Lonely Star
Dave Brubeck - The Essential...
The Psychedlic Furs - All of This and Nothing
Herbie Hancock - Ken Burns' JAZZ Series
Joy Division - Permanent
Modest Mouse - Good News for People Who Love Bad News
Various - Punk Lives! (compilation)
Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

Bright Eyes/Neva Dinova - One Jug of Wine, Two Vessels
