2. It doesn't affect me personally as I don't gamble and my family doesn't gamble. But, since I'm opposed to unnecessary government regulation of the "moral" kind, I have to say I'm "for" it in the sense that I'm "against" banning it.
3. Absolutely. Gamblers are going to gamble, whether it means betting in the office NCAA bracket pool or playing the tables. Kentucky already gains plenty of revenue from the Kentucky Lottery.
4. Nope. Gamblers are going to gamble, drinkers are going to drink, drug users are going to use. Keeping gambling closer to home means shorter distances for gamblers to drive, which lessens their chances of killing someone on the way home due to intoxication or exhaustion (from playing until closing time).
5. Well, the public schools in this state get a TREMENDOUS amount of revenue, and tend to squander it on big, expensive buildings for which they can't afford to purchase books or hire teachers. I'm LESS inclined to support legalized knowing that the proceeds are going to be wasted by the incompetent idiots running our education system.
6. Never played 'em anywhere but in computer games. Come to think of it, I've bought only three lottery tickets in the last six years...
