So I'm heading off to bed shortly so I can get an early start queuesitting at the polls so I can get on with my day at work...  But, while I think I've made my decision for most of the choices tomorrow, there is one I have not yet decided upon...

Here in the state of Maryland, one of the referendums on the ballot tomorrow is to introduce slots into ( Read more... )

You can always type ?style=mine at the end of an lj entry web address (or ?style=light) and the post will show up in your style (presumably that one will be easier to read.

P.S. Sorry, samantilles, I have to do that myself. Yellow type on white background is not enough of a contrast for me to read very well. I may be getting old. ;-) Oh, and I'm using firefox.

I've disengaged my style for all comments (which should be easier for ya'alls) Let me know if you don't see the base LJ for comments (if not in your style)!

I <3 my orange, but I really shouldn't force it upon others... my theme layers (not the current color scheme/graphic layout) are sooo old that it has some strange quirks to it, but it would take way too much effort to update it to a newer theme and have it as content updatable as it is right now... oh well.

It's not the color scheme that was a problem for me, although I admit that I don't find it the easiest to read. It's that the sidebar extends over most of the entry section, no matter what size I make the page. I have to peer through the sidebar text to see the entry and you can't type through the sidebar where the comments extend under it...

I have no idea why IE does that (the whole sidebar thing)-- I use Apple Safari even on the windows PC here at work, so you were the first one to point that out to me a few entries ago... The orange is difficult to read for some (and I've heard the comment before as well, but I can't stand the stark black sometimes!! I need color desperately! maybe as a christmas gift to myself I may update my LJ layout again, though at this point I'm running out of new colors (had a green, a pink, a purple, and an orange, not to mention the splash of all bright colors on my blog on my server... I may go for a bluish style next...

I think there's a way for people to choose which style they prefer my journal in, but I'm not sure if it would account for changes in the base layers also... I might have to look into that!

Hmmm- I was going to try the style thing that Aurora suggested and let you know if that fixed the sidebar problem. I went to your site and found that something has occured between late last night and now that fixed the issue with the sidebar. So unless you did something besides disengaging your style for all comments, that's where your code error lies. Something in the comment style you had must have been messing with the page layout.
