Having a journal you just friends lock seems like going to a party and refusing to speak to anyone new. At the same time, if someone who make you uncomfortable lists you as 'friends' and you know damn nicely that anything unflocked will get read on their friends page within about twenty minutes... leaving anything as publically viewable seems almost like sending a direct message.

The stupid circular logic operating here does not escape me. But lj reflects reality, not the other way around. If I can't get along with someone in reality, I'm not going to stalk them via livejournal.

Going flocked seems a bit like going into hiding, but I can't think of a better option. I'll try to find some random tat to leave public now and again to prove that I'm not dead to any casual passers-by.
