It is now officially booked. I am back up in Edinburgh on the 18th July and not a moment too soon if you ask me. I have given everyone fair warning so I feel justified in expecting nibbles, banners, Pimms, a carriage and that song that goes "Welcome home...We-e-e-lcome...We-e-e-lcome...you're home once more" on loop.
Have spent a week and a half at home with no job and it's now driving me crazee. like proper wild-look-in-eyes-rolling-head-to-and-fro-against-a-wall-accompanied-by-OCD-tendancies crazee. So am taking therapy by retreating to North Wales (seeing grandparents) and then Manchester (seeing old friends) before wheedling my way up to the 'Burgh, where I am hoping to feel slightly more at home than I do now, in the place I grew up. If not I'm going back to California - after complaining for the whole year about how inferior it is to the UK I'm having a serious hankering for good weather, Mexican food, Salsa Dancing and, most strongly my extremely energetic, non-cynical friends out there.
Anyone want to come Salsa Dancing in Edinburgh? happylizardboy? I can imagine you double spinning latino style.
