I had written a long entry about a lecture and Q&A period with Dr. David Suzuki that I went to see this past Wednesday, but I lost it...For anyone who would like to know more about his plan for environmental Sustainability Within A Generation, please visit the David Suzuki Foundation website.

Listening to David Suzuki speak to a packed Student Life Centre audience was a great experience.  Everyone who came seemed to have a genuine interest in what he had to say.  I don't know how well known Dr. Suzuki is outside of Canada, but here is a very famous environmentalist/activist/broadcaster/author/geneticist.  We are very proud of him and he was nominated in the Greatest Canadian competition.

My roommate from last year has been very depressed so I am going to go eat dinner with her tonight and maybe watch a movie or just some TV.  She has been skipping class the last three weeks and hasn't been leaving her room.  She has a hard time getting around in the snow with canes and a scooter so I can understand why she is reluctant to go outside for some things.  However, she hasn't even been leaving her room for meals or to attend classes at the building beside her residence.  I hope she goes back to see her counsellor, I am worried about her.

OSAP things seem to be slowly turning around.  I have funding now but dealing with these people is a never-ending frustration.  They are the bane of the Ontario student's existence.  Although one woman has been very helpful, for which I am thankful.

I'm supposed to be working on a paper that was due Wednesday.  I have to discuss Aristotle's redefinition of "mimesis" in his Poetics.
