Having Fun
Yesterday was a day at the hotel. It started with me waking up before everyone else and I got to eat breakfast on the patio outside the main room in peace and quiet.
Here's a view from the patio at around 7 AM.
We spent a lot of time at the pool and the resort's water park. I went off on my own around our building at around 3 o'clock when everyone else was tired and decided to nap. I brought my camera with me and followed a black vulture to the nearby parking which was actually that of another hotel. The one vulture flew so close above my head that I heard its wing beats, which is what made me look up. There were four vultures but only one let me close while the others walked away from me. I also took some brown anole pics.
I will post the watermarked ones on my DA photography account after vacation. I've neglected that one and I might clean it up a bit.
Later in the day we went to Old Town, which is next to the hotel we usually stay at down here. I LOVE Old Town. It's basically a bunch of stores. My favorite store is called Old Town Leather which sells fur products and of course leather, but I'm most interested in the fox tails they sell. Two years ago I bought an arctic fox tail from there. My coyote tail came from Canada, and I bought two silver fox tails.
I couldn't decide which one I liked better so I just bought both, haha. Every tail I've bought has a little chain but I don't put them on my backpacks or anything; I hang them on my wall with my dream catchers.
Oh, here are some more pics from the hotel before I forget to post them. The macaw painting is hanging in the smaller bedroom near the bathroom, but another one that's exactly the same is hanging up the kitchen. Then there's a small courtyard that I "discovered" while I was by myself yesterday looking for anoles to photograph.
And then there was this male Muscovy duck near this huge lake by the water park. I took it with my phone so it's not good and if I wanted to get a photo with my camera, I'd have to take a shuttle bus or walk a half hour to this spot.
My parents are coming down tonight. They'll be arriving at an airport in Tampa at around 1 AM and tomorrow is a hotel day. Although I'm not staying because thagirion and I are meeting tomorrow at last. I'm so excited for this. Then in the evening I'm going to eat dinner with my family at the T-Rex restaurant in Disney Springs. I like Disney Springs too because it's like Old Town with little shops. I hate shopping but I don't mind perusing small stores.
I'm going to bed a bit early if I can because I'm beat. We went to Hollywood Studios today which is my favorite Disney park next to Animal Kingdom. My two favorite rides, the Tower of Terror and the Aerosmith Rockin' Rollercoaster are there and I went on both of them. They're unusually intense for a Disney park but that's why I love them. I guess I'm an adrenaline junkie because I love intense rides that scare me.
So, I'm going to sign off now but I'll write more about my vacation as more exciting stuff happens.
