A year later, I'm still trying to pinpoint exactly WHY I like Mass Effect in the first place? I've put more hours into that game than Resident Evil 4, which is saying something. I've gone through it SEVEN times now, and keep a chart on all my characters cuz I'm obsessed.
It may be the fact that I can create a character and see them interact in the game. This is exactly why I liked the Sims 2. There's just something special about seeing something you created put into action idk. And the fact that you can make them good/bad cop along with choose their background and make decisions and stuff.
Never mind you're the captain of a ship. Like huge ego-boost right there. It's like I'm in Star Trek. On a ship. Doing stuff. and that's like...my dream.
Though my male characters usually turn out ugly...I think the default's the way to go there. Though it's really easy to make an ugly character. You get like 9 ugly options and maybe 2 handsome options. Though I love all the characters I've made, ugly or not...My first one was atrocious.
Plus you can't turn their head around that much when you're on the character creation screen, you never know if their cheekbones or eyes stick out too far or if their face is just weird.
One time I made a character, put her in the game and was like "Wat's wrong with you face, dawg?" because it looked FINE when I made her.
Can't wait to get Mass Effect 2. *excited*
