I played Resident Evil tonight on my xBox 360.

things I liked:
*awesome graphics, had to blink a few times to make sure I wasn't watching a film by mistake
*I actually like Sheva, or I tolerate her. At least she can fend for herself. In fact, at this moment, she's better than I am at killing ganados.
*cool unlockables
*auto-save
*different commands for Sheva
*Sheva gets the gold and shit that I don't see
*Sheva saves me when I'm dying
*you can do awesome tricks when you shoot an enemy right (like straight, hook)
*enemies seem very diverse
*enemies seem very smart, which is definitely a + from RE4. yay improved AI!
*both Chris and Sheva are easy on the eyes
*auto-healing is the shit
*can have Sheva pick up shit for me
*can have Sheva give me ammo
*cool knife-to-gun switching animations
*spectacular lighting effects
things that I didn't like so much:
*seems too much like RE4 so far. I saw a review that said "a complete makeover from RE4" and I was like "bitch, fuck no."
*the dialouge is too quiet compared to the special effects sounds. I risk shitting my pants when I turn it up when they're talking then a truck horn blares all of a sudden.
*the text is hard to see on the subtitles and user menus, too thin.
*upgrading guns is difficult. I wish I could say exactly "how" but I can't. Apparently, you can only do that after you die then a screen comes on with your inventory and allows you to buy upgrades.
*hard to see which is the better gun when buying them
*shooting is wonky. I find this ironic considering this is a third-person shooter. You have to press one button to get the gun out, press another to aim, switch control sticks to move the aim, then stretchhh your middle finger to shoot while keeping all of your other fingers on the buttons, which leaves me struggling to get my fingers oriented again when pausing or using the knife.
*still haven't figured out how to turn around quickly
*hard to see where enemies are
*a nod to the above, I find myself readjusting the camera every 5 mins
*for some reason, I keep getting a racist feel. Can't really tell you why.
*seems like the areas are over-crowded with buildings and they all look the same. It's hard determining if it would be worth it to explore one shack vs. moving on in the game.
sorry for typos, but I'm very tired *yawn*
