I'd first like to start out by saying, today is my very best friends birthday.
I wish I was in FL to celebrate with her, but alas, I am stuck walking around the streets of Italy, taking in the culture! DAMNIT!
Really though, I've known Natale since second grade, and since then she has celebrated 18 birthdays. I cant wait to see her celebrate the next 18.
Although I can't imagine that she is having to much fun without me (thats such a lie,) I hope that when she reads this, that she smiles and has a wonderful day.
Natale has all the good pictures of us, I'm not sure how she managed that, but this is all I have online and what I am capable of posting while away. But it's my favorite picture of us anyway.. so whatever.
Okay, now on to more important things.... Italian men.
I always always always forget how much I love Italian men, until I am back in Italy. There's just something about the tall, dark and handsome features....or the tight pants. Whatever.
The past week here has been delightful and it saddens me that I must leave on Thursday. We left Rome this morning and headed to Tuscany. Florence is my favorite town in Italy, and I never get to spend enough time here while in the country. We always get to Florence last, as its more of a relaxation place, then it is a tourist area.
It's a bit cooler here then it is in Rome, and it's actually gotten decently chilly, which has been a nice change from the ridiculously hot Florida weather that we're still having well into December. Last night when watching CNN (which is the only channel on Italian TV that is in English) we found out there's a tropical storm out in the Atlantic headed straight towards Florida. Yikes. It's super odd to be having tropical weather this late in the year.
Tomorrow I am taking the bus to Pisa to meet up with Daniel and Matteo for the day. The bus ride from here to Pisa is my favorite part. The view through the bus window, over looking the vineyards and the mountains is just about the most beautiful sight you could ever see. I'll post pictures when I get back.
Speaking of getting back, we leave Thursday night, and arrive in very early Friday morning. I plan on spending the day sleeping, but will be going to the Citrus Bowl Friday night to see the Kowboys play and hopefully win state. And yes, any outstanding member of the Osceola County community knows that Kowboy, is spelled with a K.
