(no subject)
So I'm behind on life by about two weeks. This is what I supposedly did:
*pimped my short film at LinkTV and did a pretty good job. It looks to be a semifinalist, but I'll find out in a week or so.
*hung out with various old friends and my brother for a few days, it was really nice.
*finished up my written application process (after seriously forever) and just have to take the standardized test to finish up!
*a ton of shopping and cleaning- though I suppose they cancel each other out!
In recent activities, this weekend was the big Muslim Artists event. I must admit, despite the very obvious description of the event, I didn't expect it to be so Islam-o-centric. All the same, it was a great time. A huge part of that was due in fact by Rasha's presence. I hadn't seen her in a good couple of months I believe. Just way too long. There are only some many stories we can tell over the phone/email. Anywhos, we met a ton of new people, made good friends, and had a memorable time overall (details to come- witch pictures). It's crazy to realize that the people I met and befriended are such prolific and established artists. I'm excited for what all we can plan for next year and of course to see everyone again! I think we're going to plan out as much as we can while the ideas are fresh in our heads. We had just under 100 people come and I think we can expect that to grow with the fact that we'll have 4 times the amount of time to plan the next one. Good stuff.
In not so great news- I hate Florida voters though I hope everyone voted. The lady at my voting location was so funny. At first she told me I didn't look old enough to vote and that if anything it must be my first time . I told her I had been voting for a few years now, but she didn't believe me until she saw my license. Then she asked if she could call me Sammy, because she thought only my good friends would call me that. I let her. Then she asked me if I was British! It was more in her delivery, but she was a hoot. All right I hope everyones weeks are going well!
