Colour Correcting

I was re-watching Alfie today, rediscovering how much I love that show. This time I happened to take notice of some of the more technical details, like how most every frame of that movie is colour corrected to perfection. Absoloutely stunning actually the richness of the colours, the contrast, the styling, etc. Perfect. Made me think about colour correction.

Thought about how I should colour correct my life, so that even in the dullest moments, I can see artistic integrity in the styling. Poseur, no? Honestly if I could colour correct my life, I think it would be so much more fun in the living. Think about it, how your holiday photos, even the shots what you took at random, without angling or perfect lighting, still seem so much more vibrant than the life you're seeing before you now as you stare listlessly at your monitor screen at the little pixels that glare out at you. In that instant, your photos seem so much more real than the life you live. Everything seems to leap out at you. Even the graininess of your higher ISO shot in the dark seems so much more alive for all its technical faults.

Perhaps they are coloured all the more vibrantly by the memories of better times, of the absolute enjoyment of that one single crystalline moment.

If I could live my life like that, every single fucking day, would I get bored of it?

Maybe...

But for a while at least, I think it would be a blast!
