Ah. Another evening with the usual suspects. Here were the highlights.

Seeing Superman on the Omnimax Theater at OMSI. That was freakin' rad. I am not sure if I enjoyed the ending so much, but overall it was good (and as said before freakin' awesome on the Omnimax). If you haven't seen it yet you may or may not want to read the rest of this paragraph. Superman has a very cute, nerdy little child in the movie (which Katie didn't realize it was his kid even after he threw a very large object across the room..ah Katie). We made fun of her for that as well as the very large crush she tends to have on imaginary superheros. (She insisted that his eyes were a true blue color and he wasn't wearing contacts....haha).

The rest of the evening consisted of dinner at the old spaghetti factory, watching a really cool lighting storm, visiting Reed College, (which I had actually never been to before) and hanging out with Evan. Evan gave us a tour of the college (when I say we I mean myself, Heidi and Katie) and then took us to a rhododendren garden near campus. The garden (even though it was dark when we went in) appeared absolutely beautiful. It was by a lake and there were huge trees and rhodies, fountains, ducks and geese and it really was just a beautiful place. That is until we went to leave the garden and two geese started following us (and when I say "us" I really mean Katie), which quickly progressed into chasing us (we were literally running from these geese who had there wings fully spanned quickly waddling after us). We finally crossed this long wooden bridge and they stopped chasing us. By that time it was about 10:30pm at night and I guess that is when the sprinkler system is set to turn on because attempting to make it out the rest of the way we were sprayed several times with industrial sprinklers. We were pretty much all laughing the entire time at the absurdity of the situation even after we were half drenched and full of adrenaline from running from wild animals. And it was good to see Evan again as he is enjoyable.

Tomorrow will be more Blues Festival, fireworks and hanging out with Dan and the girls. whoop.
