Saturday Al and I headed out to SF for the Bhutan exhibit at the Asian art museum. It was gorgeous and sunny out, and the exhibit was really great- the thangkas were exceptional. So was the traffic, but that's what we get for not just taking BART! The rest of the day was spent reading, doing homework and just futzing around.

The weekend before last I went to the latest SF ballet, entitled 'New Works'. It was a collection of world premiere pieces. I went with my mom and one of my aunts.

It was fascinating to see so many new moves, and new music. I liked it a lot better on the whole then some of the newer pieces I've seen by them. The previous ones featured minimalist ( Read more... )

* High school friend is in town - she's about to move to Nairobi to work for the State department, and it makes my job seem ridiculously safe in comparison. I'm already entertaining thoughts of visiting her as she'll be posted there for a couple of years.

I don't know why, but I've had writer's block when it comes to making posts this week. At the beginning of the week I was really busy with work, but after that I just couldn't start.

It's nice being back in the office. I stayed at home yesterday and worked while we got new windows installed in the house. We really needed it, but it meant being cold all day!
