Lake Anza

Originally uploaded by rerlin. This photo doesn't look like much, but it was our Friday holiday. I wanted to get OUT of the house, but not to get in holiday traffic. I took Al to one of the places of my youth- Lake Anza. He had trouble believing there was a lake up in Tilden!
It was only 15 minutes from our house. It cost a few bucks to get in, and we brought a picnic basket lunch. It was so incredibly nice and relaxing- I can't even put it in words.
We hung out on the beach [under an umbrella, of course]. We had a nice lunch, relaxed, read books, laughed and just generally hung out. It felt like a real holiday.
