busy- but without words

longtime no post!

I've been busy- and in good ways- but words fail me. I read and feel completely uninspired to write, despite having things to write about.

We had a lovely time seeing the opera in the movie theater the weekend before last.

Last week I got to go see my oldest friend have her first big gallery opening, and that was excellent. I hope her pieces sell! Although there was prestige in just being part of the show. I am thrilled for her.

This weekend we went to see the huge Chinese New Years parade in SF. Sadly, the crowd was so thick I mostly saw the backs of heads. Or children- as everyone had theirs on their shoulders. It was still fun though.

I also got out in the yard for the first time since we moved in December. It was a sunny day that showed just how tall the weeds are becoming. I figured I'd better start now so that it doesn't become a mess that I hate dealing with.

It also allowed me to meet some of our neighbors as we were all outside. I have been meaning to go over and introduce myself- but it's always nighttime or it just seems like I'll be imposing. So it was really nice to have the chance to all say hi.

We had my parents over for dinner so they finally saw the house. They seemed pretty happy to come over, and they came bearing a really awesome tiramisu!

Sunday I spent hanging out with my mom and aunt- again! We went out to lunch and then saw 'The Sleeping Beauty' ballet in SF. I really enjoyed it. It was a little sad to be indoors on such a pretty day, but it was worth seeing. The music was beautiful, as were the dancers.
