Started work last night. I was told I'd be working with Paula, which would be a good thing 'cause it's been nine months since I did this job, and I don't so much remember as the other thing. Paula happens to both know her shit backwards forwards and in the dark - literally, it came up one time - and also is very friendly (as long as you speak spanish and take the time to get to know her. Elsewise shes a bit frightening).
Anyway, this didn't happen. Rather, I was the only manager working last night, and the other employees were all relatively new. This should have sucked a whole bunch, particularly as it is always kinda awkward having authority of people you don't know, and who don't especially like or respect you.
Fortunately, they all turned out to be terrifyingly competent. Me, not so much; on multiple occasions, they did something that needed doing without being told, because I had completely forgotten about it. Oh well. This sort of managing is much less stressful than I remember the old one being.
It looks like I've got around 40 hrs/week, so I guess that's my summer.
On an unrelated note, the more WoD books I read the better I like it. Hunter's gonna be awesome.
