Post-Birthday Well, Post
Thank you so much to everyone who sent me b'day greetings on LJ: specifically, Jody, Jeanette, Siobhain and Kris. ^_^
It was actually a fairly quiet day overall; some would think TOO quiet for the most part, but nontheless pleasant. I got a Transformers Autobot insignia t-shirt from my sister and a few other odds and ends; a card from the rellies in Singapore only arrived today, too.
I actually spent the afternoon at a production meeting, which turned out to be quite a quick one. Very informative, although stress levels seem to be creeping a bit. I'm not sure if Gavin actually read the press release I wrote promoting his music in the show, but I can honestly say he actually DID say the quotes I included; just not in that exact order... :-P I also got a mini cake from Andrea, which was wonderful. :-)
Afterwards, I went out for dinner with the family to a little Thai restaurant owned by a friend; it's located on the road buses take to and from UQ, which makes it ideal for students. It's tucked down a stairwell, but the decor is really nice and the food was delicious. I'm surprised it's taken this long for us to eat there; and disappointed I couldn't have done so while my student card was still valid. :-P
Meanwhile, it turns out that when our phone service was transfered from Telstra to Optus recently, someone didn't make sure it was a seamless transition--Dad discovered when overseas rellies tried to ring that our home number was able to dial out, but not receive any incoming calls. :-S It's being rectified, but the process will apparently be an ongoing thing for a couple of days...
Oh, and I got some details for that gig I mentioned; here's hoping it goes off smoothly when I need to show up (I'm a little concerned given the lead-up so far)...
