Standing Down?
I feel like some rocky road ice-cream. That's about the only salient thought I've had today, beyond "...man, I'm going on a diet (again) in the new year". lol.
FFXII levelling up is at another particularly tough juncture, where there are multiple clusters of undead foes spawning, who frequently hit hard and seem able to pierce magic defences... But buffing up should come in handy for later on in the game. Plus, I did manage to grab an esper to summon--Zalera, the death seraph (not sure which zodiac constellation he represents). Ugly bugger, who seems to have some poor shrine maiden attached to his left shoulder; between him and Mateus (an ice fish I haven't attained yet who allegedly represents Pisces and hides behind a blue maiden), it makes me wonder if the Square Enix folk actually researched these characters, or might have slightly misogynistic imaginations... Actually, all the espers are ugly (with possible exception of Ultima, who represents Virgo), and not nearly as useful as summons from previous games, which is a shame.
Meanwhile, I've been thinking that I should step down from my mod position at The Presidian; it's not like I've done any work there since the previous semester started, and my heart isn't in it as much as it used to be, truth to tell. I still have to read the last few novels, if that gives you any indication. lol. That being said, I still hope to keep in contact with everyone through one form or another. Let me know what you guys think. Except Peter, 'cos I already know. :-P
