Memorial stuff, at West, at the wall.
Cross posting a couple of things:
Looks like we have everything in place to start the work for the memorial bench and trees. West and the school district have given the ok. I will be needing help to remove the shrubs and a couple of trees. I may also need help framing in the bench area so the bench can be set in concrete. This could actually start Friday if I can get enough people together. So . . . I guess this a first request for help.

Well, most of you know about the battle we've had with the county and having a memorial at the crash site.

Anyway, we have contacted the railroad and they gave us permission to have a small memorial. We attached it to the wall yesterday. Not that we're looking to have a mad rush down there, just that it is good news for us.
Oh, by the way, if any of you are responsible for the recent, shall I term it graffiti, the county painted over it before we got to see it. Wish I'd known, as it would be a treasured picture. To inform the rest of you, seems the wall was tagged with "Dead Man's Curve". The neighbor told us about it. Anyway, at this time please keep things low key. The county is not happy with the situation, so let's see if they let the waters settle while we do the same.
