the coffee saga continues

so the reason behind the lack of coffee is this: there are huge boxes of coffee sitting there over at the old building across town, and the food services people (who run the cafeteria and call the vending machine companies when the look a little low on sugar) also stock our breakrooms with important things like filters and individually packaged coffee grinds. for whatever reason, they have decided that my need for coffee is just some sort of joke and i don't mean it. its been a week since the food services group started working over here. you would think that at some point during that time they could send someone over to the old building and just grab the coffee. but no.

and its even worse than having no coffee... we have a very small amount of coffee. so what happens is every couple of hours someone down in the cafeteria makes about 10 pots of coffee and then rolls them out with a cart and delivers these precious jugs of coffee to the break rooms.... and then they are devoured by the masses in about half an hour.... where the waiting begins again. and if you don't notice the lady pushing the coffee cart around, you don't know when it is time to hang up on the client with a term paper due (they always have term papers due, mentioning this to me is supposed to be some sort of goad to make me work harder for them. i never care (unless they sound like a cute girl)) and run at breakneck speeds into the breakroom to be one of the lucky few who gets some of apple's foul coffee.

and at the moment i am hoarding coffee.... i got in to work today and looked in the breakroom where i saw a half fill pot! i immediately filled three styrofoam cups and booked it to my desk.

thats right... i am hoarding coffee.
