In other words, not all that interested in learning what some old guy had to teach.
"I can't speak for him, but let me put it this way, in practice one time he told me not to criticize him in front of the other players," Abdul-Jabbar recalls. "How can I help him if I can't provide critical analysis? He wanted me to take him off to the side. It was absurd."
