every person who attends college is there trying to get a peice of paper that will lead them to a "normal" life. most americans don't realize that there are other places to turn to for the aquisition of knowledge. school in my mind, is the last place i would look to for any answers to the questions that rack my brain every day. if it's self improvement you're after, rid yourself of the chains of college, read books that interest you and use their information to enhance your level of consciousness. think about the word itself "SELF" improvement. does this mean sitting in a classroom doing the same thing you were doing 13 or 15 years ago??? to me it doesn't. self improvement to me means educating myself and doing progressive productive things that will get me to where i need to go, but in a consciouss matter. after doing this the feeling of "self improvement" will feel alot more genuine than learning the pythagorum theorum. college students feel as if they are being forced to be there and that there is no other way, and that you have to have some sort of "special talent" to succeed without a college education.... this is what we have been told by every authority ever.. from mom and dad to every teacher and principal, from michael jordan to ll cool j, "be cool stay in school." go to high school, go college, go to work, buy a house, start a family, contribute to the economy, buy an S.U.V., vote democrat/republican, just do it. this is the assembly line that americans are put through.
don't be afraid to break free and drop out.
find a way around the system...don't be so fucking lazy.
