I'm back from Scotland :S I had a fantastic time - I wish I could have stayed longer!! But I couldn't so *shrugs*
Anyway, I shall recount my voyage (that sounds important :P)
Tuesday: Ana and I left school at 3:20, so we missed French and went to Barcelona airport, where obviously we got a plane (duh!) to Luton. It was on time, so that was good and Ana and I had long conversations about where we should go next year for our holiday when we finish school, for example. We are currently thinking about Italy - I want to go to Germany (nothing to do with the World Cup of course!) or Wimbledon....but unfortunately in my class I am kind of outvoted. The football at least will still be on in Italy though! Ok, so we had to change at Luton, so we got the plane to Glasgow. Guess what - when we got off the plane...it was raining!! Typical! Then we had a bit of trouble finding my uncle there, but eventually we did and he took us to my grandparents house where basically we had a drink and went to bed!!
Wednesday: Got up at 5:45!! :O...well we had to leave the house at 6:30 to get the train up to Leuchars, which is 5 miles away from St. Andrews. It was freezing AND....guess what, it was raining!! Ana slept on the train, but I didn't. I looked out of the window as it was getting light and watched
Murrayfield and
Raith Rovers grounds go past!! 4 times altogether during the day! We got to St. Andrews at about 9:20, then had to find the "lower hall" to register...which wasn't easy...especially since it was raining, and being vain we didn't want to get our hair wet! And we had no umbrella :P
We had a walking tour of the university, which was fun but we got ABSOLUTELY soaked. You would have thought we had just stepped out of the shower - no exaggeration!! It was hilarious! So we then went into a Hall of Residence, which was quite big but I don't really want to go into a place that is catered...it means you can't be lazy and have breakfast in your pyjamas, for example! not good!! We went to the Sports centre (and learnt what Ultimate Frisbee is :P) and had lunch. After lunch we visited the Spanish and International Relations department, which was good fun! Ah yes, and we used the hand dryers in the bathroom where we had lunch for more than our hands....especially as we both discovered that water could get in our trainers! Then, when we got back to Glasgow we had a stupid taxi driver that didn't know where the street is that my grandparents live on....lol
Yesterday (Thursday!) it was really sunny too, to cap it off!! That's after it raining all day the day before!! And, when we landed back here, in Spain it was raining too...typical! And it rained today too...I think I am growing accostumed to being wet. But anyway....:P Twas very good fun, and Ana and I had long complicated conversations in a mixture of English and Spanish which confused our fellow travellers!
Where we registered!
So it was back to school today....great. Not! So, once again I have loads of homework. 2 English essays, 1 history essay and some french. I kind of hope I don't have tennis tomorrow...I don't have time :( So annoying. And I want a longer holiday...saying that though, this 3 day week thing is pretty good....shame it's not like that all the time!
JCF is in the semis :D good good! Now he plays Shaar's man (but I hope you are supporting JCF, ok??!!lol) Ok...and WC is too...but a different tournament! I could actually watch the JCF match....I love this tournament! Livestream on the internet!
Ah yes...and up the City tomorrow! We need a win!
Hope to speak to you guys at some point! x x x
